Quilting Programs & Lectures | Quilters Guild of Plano
Our monthly programs bring quilters together to learn from national speakers, local artisans and members to share their work. Most events are in-person as well as on ZOOM (unless otherwise noted).
The guild offers monthly programs and many workshops throughout the year.
Contact programs@qgplano.org for any other questions or to suggest upcoming speakers.

Programs are always free for QGP members. A $5 charge will be assessed to non-members when we host a national speaker.

2024 Programs
December 12, 2024
Come join us at our Annual Guild Christmas Celebration filled with, food, fun and friendships!
Make a winter themed gift (from fabrics in your stash) and come to the Holiday Party prepared to have fun! We’ll gather in groups and while a story is being read we will pass our treasures either left or right when we hear the words “Left” or “Right”. When the story ends, we will have a wonderful gift to take home and enjoy!
Guild Guidelines and Deadlines
1. Signup at the Activities Table by the November Meeting. (And even late signer-upper’s
will be welcome to participate!)
2. Make a winter fabric item using fabric from your stash! Bring it to the December
Holiday Party and get ready to have fun!
3. Please wrap your gift!

Sherry Mark – Loft Supply
Lecture: All About Batting
Owner Sherry Mark strongly believes that batting is an important, yet often overlooked and undervalued, component of your quilting project. After all, your batting gives your quilt its personality. It determines the way a quilt looks and feels, its weight, warmth and thickness, and perhaps most importantly, its longevity. At Loft Supply, we value the art of quilting, and want to do our part to ensure that your finished product looks and feels as special as the effort you put into your beautiful creation.
