Time to Renew Your Membership

Our Guild membership year runs from October 1 through September 30, so it's time to renew your membership. During September the cost is $25.00. You can mail your payment to the address on the Membership Application Form. Starting on October 1st, the price goes up to $30.00.

Meeting Room Upstairs

Because a church group needs the fellowship hall, our meetings for the remainder of the year will be held upstairs. Park on the north side of the building and enter the north door. Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. Our meeting room is at the end of the hall.

A New Challenge!

Did you know that September 15th is National Jelly Roll Day? Our new VP of Activities, Leanna Williams, has issued a challenge to celebrate the day. Starting on Saturday, September 15, make something new using a Jelly Roll (or other collection of 2 1/2" strips). Bring your creation - finished or unfinished - to the October guild meeting. It's that simple. If you have any questions, contact Leanna Williams.

Guild Meeting - October 11, 2018
Rhonda Dort - Quilting with Vintage Linens

Meet Rhonda Dort:
"As a 3rd generation quilter, I like to create! I enjoy the process of embellishing vintage embroidered pieces, longarm quilting, hand dying felted wool, needlework, ink dyes and occasionally crocheting and knitting. I enjoy searching through antique shops, flea markets and junk stores looking for vintage trims, buttons, needlework and linens, and of course I love talking about my work!"

For more about Rhonda, see the Programs page and also

Workshop - Friday October 12 - How to Create a Vintage Linens Quilt Top

This workshop on vintage linens will feature the techniques used while making Rhonda's pink and green quilt. This workshop was originally scheduled to be a theory workshop. It has now been converted to include sewing if you desire. You may still take the class and not sew if you are only interested in designing.

For more about the workshop, the supply list, and instructions on how to prepare your vintage linens before class, see the Programs page.

Workshop - Saturday, October 13, 2018 - Second Chances Embellished Hexagons

This is a project workshop (you will be sewing) based on Rhonda's outstanding embellished hexagon-based quilt "Second Chances." This is your chance to bring those family linens out of the closet and enjoy them again. If you don't have a stash of vintage linens, Rhonda will be bringing items for sale.

For more about the workshop, the supply list, and instructions on how to prepare your vintage linens before class, see the Programs page.
